At the Institute for Civility, our interns play a vital role in advancing our mission to reduce polarization and build bridges across divides. Each semester, we welcome bright, motivated students and recent graduates who bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and passion to our programs. Whether they’re crafting communications, conducting research, supporting events, or engaging with media, our interns help amplify our work while gaining meaningful professional experience.
We believe internships are not just about tasks, but about growth and opportunity. Interns at the Institute receive mentorship, hands-on learning, and the chance to contribute directly to initiatives that make an impact—from Student Legislative Seminars and Congressional Forums to national campaigns and media outreach. In turn, they leave with stronger skills, professional portfolios, and a deeper understanding of how civility and civic engagement shape communities.
