Speaking Engagements
Cassandra Dahnke and Tomas Spath, co-founders of the Institute, have spoken before schools, faith communities, civic groups, and members of Congress. Able to provide engaging programs in either English or Spanish, the Institute teaches listening and communication skills, cooperative problem solving, effective participation in government, and respect between people of different opinions and backgrounds. The co-founders are available for speaking engagements, workshops, and conferences.
The Institute works not only with constituents but with elected officials as well. Co-founders Cassandra Dahnke and Tomas Spath were the featured guest speakers at a forum hosted by The Faith and Politics Institute in Washington, DC on July 18, 2000. They were able to share directly with members of Congress the work of the Institute thus far, the vision for the future, and the practical steps that can be taken to build a greater presence for civility in our communities. Cassandra and Tomas return to Washington, DC each year on behalf of the Institute and continue to meet with legislators and their staffs.
