Many people have dropped out of the political process because they have found it to be hurtful, ugly, and harsh. They have given up on the possibility of instilling civility in the governing process, or for that matter, in other areas of our public life as well. But if anything is certain, it is that when civil voices are not heard, other voices will be. In order for change to occur, voices must be heard.
The Institute facilitates dialogue, teaches respect, and builds civility in unique and empowering ways. However, in order for us to expand our work and our effectiveness, we need your support!

The Institute for Civility in Government is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. PayPal securely processes payments for the Institute for Civility in Government. You do not need to register with PayPal in order to donate.
Civility is not something that automatically happens.
